Fastfivepremiere

A virtual premiere of Fast Five, the latest in The Fast and the Furious franchise, was brought live to the world from Rio de Janerio, Brazil on April 15th by Universal Pictures and NowLive. The world premiere event, which featured Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and yes, Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson, streamed live in 10 theatres throughout Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Phoenix, Atlanta, Denver and Detroit.

The streaming event features access to multi-camera controls, real-time polling, trivia and live chats and links for showtimes and tickets. Doug Neil, Sr. VP, Digitial Marketing, Universal Pictures, said, “Fans of The Fast and the Furious franchise have grown closer to our characters with each successive movie. We want to thank the audience for their unflagging support with a global premiere event that brought the cast into the lives of any fan with access to the web.”
